It’s an old saying, but it’s true – in this world, change is the only thing you can depend on.

Times change, trends come and go, and sometimes you just have to do a little remodeling to keep up. With that in mind, we wanted to let our esteemed guests know that the Market District is going to be closed for a little while while we do some renovations.

Did we say ‘some renovations’? Maybe “some” doesn’t begin to cover it. We’re talking massive, multimillion-dollar renovations designed to completely revamp Market District as we know it. The area is going to become a contemporary, all-encompassing dining destination with seven all-new fast-casual food outlets, perfect for meeting any possible taste or mood you’re in. We don’t want to spoil the surprise of the menu just yet, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to be very happy with what you see when it re-opens.

We understand that you might miss some of your old favorites at Market District, and we didn’t want you to go completely without. Over in Trapper’s Alley (located in the former Sharkey’s on Monroe location) is our new pop-up restaurant, Market District Express! Market District Express, true to its name, is a smaller-scale version of the old Market Express that offers a selection of your old favorites in a new location to help tide your cravings until the all-new Market District is up and running.

You’ll still have access to all your old favorites, too! All of our other acclaimed Detroit restaurants will remain open while we shine up Market District, from the fine dining and world-class atmosphere of Prism to the classic Americana offerings of Bistro 555 – and Stack’d is still open 24/7 to help you get whatever you in the mood for, whenever you’re in the mood for it!

You might be sad to see the old Market District go, but we promise you’ll be just as happy with it when it comes back all new and revitalized. And in the meantime, you’ve got all your old favorite restaurants to visit and casino games to try!
